'We're gonna be made fun of so bad'

Gen Z is heading for its flop era.
While they currently dominate the cultural conversation and are considered the coolest demographic, Gen Z is soon set to be usurped by members of a younger generation.
Gen Alpha refers to those born from 2011 onwards, and these soon-to-be teens will doubt poke fun at their predecessors.
While members of Gen Z currently mock Millennials for being “cheugy” and out-of-fashion, their own slang, trends, and styles will all likely become embarrassing outdated fodder for Gen Alpha to ridicule in the coming years — or so they worry.
In a new video shared to TikTok, one mortified member of Gen Z imagines how Gen Alpha will have masses of material with which to tease them.
Tyler Bender, 21, shared her clip to the social media app earlier this month, pretending to be a member of Gen Alpha and mimicking all the phrases beloved by Gen Z.
“Hey girlie pop,” Bender sarcastically states, using one of the terms beloved by her generation.
“I’m so delulu [delusional] right now,” she continues, still pretending to be a member of Gen Alpha imitating a member of Gen Z. “That’s not giving what it was supposed to give.”
The video quickly went viral, clocking up more than 2.2 million views and red-faced reaction from many embarrassed members of Gen Z, who suddenly realized they’d be subject to the same ridicule that they have inflicted on Millennials.
“I’m scared of the amount of material they will have,” one rattled viewer wrote.
“I’m not ready,” another declared. “We’re gonna be made fun of so bad.”
Meanwhile, many Millennials left comments claiming they’re ready for Gen Z to be ripped, given that they’ve been relentlessly mocked by that generation.
“As a millennial to Gen Alpha…finish them!” one witheringly ordered.
“I’m so happy it’s coming full circle for Gen Z,” a second declared.
“I believe in karma,” a third smugly said. “What goes around comes around.”
Even members of Gen X — the generation above Millennials — left comments hoping for the comeuppance of Gen Z, who just might be the most despised demographic.
“That’s life,” one unsympathetic Gen X’er wrote. “I made fun of Boomers. My kids will make fun of Z. I’m just happy to be alive.”
