The final break is yet left to come! Good news for the fam out there, the TV series crew members are apparently working on its production of Prison Break season 6, and it will be the greatest show than ever!

Michael Thorn, Entertainment division President of Fox Network, confirmed this news personally that Prison Break will be breaking anywhere soon!

Prison Break Season 6 | Returning For One Last Show!

At the last season (season 5) of the American TV series, Prison Break happily ends with Michael Scofield (WentWorth Miller)and their family “Finally Free.” But are they really free? The fans are all screwed up with the news that the series will be continuing for one last show.

Prison Break Season 6 is confirmed by the Fox director. In January 2018, FOX officially confirmed that it was “developing a new iteration” of Prison Break. The entertainment president Michael Thorn further added;

“It’s in very early stages of development. But we’re really excited about it.”

Above all, the show’s creator, Paul T Scheuring, took it to Twitter to give fans some updates about Prison Break Season 6 return for one last time.

In fact, the latest update of Paul’s tweet gives a surprising hint that the show script is complete already.

If you must know, I finished the 601 script.

As a matter of fact, Paul T Scheuring’s next tweet hinted that Prison Break Season 6 is soon starting its production.

We're going back to the beginning. Literally the very first frames.

But the big problem is coming up with a story that would satisfy. According to Scheuring;

“I couldn’t tell you another story about this group of people. Maybe somebody else can, or by accident, I’ll somehow, possibly, dream up another prison escape that’s new and fresh, but I would bet against it.”

Not only that, with Michael and Sara’s son Mike Jr. (Christian Michael Cooper), a key part of the series, Miller said, “I feel like there’s more story there, and now we’re talking about multiple generations.”

Likewise, Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) was even more keen about the returning of the show, insisting in April 2017 that he’d “do years” of the show and “would love to do season six.” Also, Dominic usually posts about season 6 on Instagram, saying it will happen someday.

Who Will Star In Prison Break New Episode | Cast & Crew

The Director of the CIA said to Michael that they could use someone with his level of intelligence to work for them, but Scofield said that he was not interested. “I’m not looking for a job,” his words. But either “looking for a job or not,” Michael will be forced once again to work in something he hates.

When Paul revealed he’s already done writing the show’s “601 scripts,” a fan asked if there will be a chance that they will see William Fitchner‘s role once again.

“Somewhere between 50-150 percent chances,” Paul teased. However, when someone asked if “T-Bag” (Robert Knepper) will also return, Scheuring didn’t answer!

“Prison Break without T-BAG would be like Prison Break without Fox River Prison. It wouldn’t be the same at all. We need Rober Knepper – Theodore T-BAG Bagwell magical acting,” one of the fans flaunted.

As far we know, Robert Knepper will be in the mood to play the T-BAG role one more time even though he denied all sexual harassment allegations.

I hope that I’m wrong because I love Robert Knepper acting skills playing Theodore T-BAG Bagwell, my favorite character in Prison Break TV Series.

Anyway, there is some specific speculation that Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield),  Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows), Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Tancredi-Scofield), Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note), Robert Knepper (T-Bag), Amaury Nolasco (Sucre) might be returning the new episode of Prison Break.

Prison Break Season 6 Episode 1 Release Date

Prison Break is returning, but the sad news is that it probably won’t hit the screen for a while.

The tweet about the show’s script was posted nearly a year ago. In March 2018, Paul Scheuring announced that he’d completed the script for episode 6×01.

Fox’s CEO Dana Walden also confirmed that new episodes were still in the very early phases of development.

Previously in 2017, Walden mentioned that the show is more likely to return intermittently, either for another mini-series or a one-off. Also, she gushed;

“It’s definitely not something we want to do every season – we want to make it special.”

Most importantly, Walden noted that “We’re just focused on getting the next iteration right,” adding, “I don’t anticipate there would be any significant announcements for several months.”

So the factor in the availability of cast and significant scripts, we wouldn’t expect Prison Break‘s new season release date to be anywhere soon, at least the very end of 2020.
