American professional basketball player Draymond Green, born on March 4, 1990, is presently a member of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Golden State Warriors.

Green participated in basketball during his time at Michigan State, where he helped the Spartans win the Big Ten title and reach two Final Fours in 2012. Green grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, where he was born.

Green, who primarily plays the power forward position, has earned two Olympic gold medals in addition to four NBA championships, two All-NBA Teams selections, seven All-Defensive Team selections, and two NBA championships. He won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year title in 2017 after leading the league in steals.

In 2011, Green competed in the men’s basketball tournament for the American national team in Shenzhen, China. Green helped Team USA place sixth overall by averaging 8.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and a field goal percentage of 46.3% throughout the tournament.

Green was chosen in June to represent the United States in the 2016 Olympics. His average of 1.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game during his eight games in Rio helped Team USA win the gold title.

Green was selected to compete for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic team, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the games were postponed to 2021. Draymond helped Team USA win the gold title with an overall scoring average of 3.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists throughout six games.
